What types of shows can I see at the Comedy Spot?
The Sacramento Comedy Spot features all styles of comedy including improv, stand-up and sketch comedy. We have nationals acts, local comedians, and amateurs perform at the Comedy Spot. Please check out Calendar for upcoming shows and events.
Do you have groups sales?
For sure! We love large groups! Follow this link to our Group Sales page. We have worked with local restaurants and bars to offer you discounts when you bring groups of 12 or more to the Comedy Spot.

Do you accept credit cards?
We do accept all major credit cards but we prefer that you pay with cash when purchasing tickets at the door or pay in advance at the box office. We have several shows a night on the weekend. Cash purchases make your wait time shorter.
Can I rent the Sacramento Comedy Spot for an event?
We do rent the Comedy Spot during the day for meetings and other events. We do not rent the Comedy Spot for shows. We only have comedy shows at the Comedy Spot.

How old do I have to be to see a show at the Comedy Spot?
We allow all ages to see our shows but please keep in mind that our shows should be considered PG13 or R rated.
Where do I park?
On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays there is valet service for $5 in front of our building. (Located in front of Lounge ON 20 on 20th street near K Street) Street side metered parking is available in front of an all around the Sacramento Comedy Spot which is FREE after 6PM) There is also parking garage open to the public on the weekends on 20th Street between K and L Streets.
Do you serve food or alcohol?
We do not serve food or alcohol. We do have a concessions area with soda, water, candy, and popcorn. The Sacramento Comedy Spot is located inside the MARRS building which host all types of restaurants. Follow this link for a map and information about all the tenants in the MARRS Building.

How can I perform in an improv show at the Comedy Spot?
We only cast performers who have taken our improv classes to perform in our improv shows. Students who are currently enrolled in or who have completed Improv 2 are eligible to perform in Battle Royale. Students who have completed Improv 3 are eligible to audition for one of our Harold Teams. We also allow all performers to perform in our 3 on 3 Improv Tournament. Classes
I have already taken improv classes at another theatre. Where do I start?
We ask that all new students to the Comedy Spot start with our Improv 1 Continuous or Improv 1 Intensive class. Every improv theatre has a different style of play. It is important that you learn our style to be successful in shows at the Comedy Spot.
