In Improv 2 students will continue to improve on scene initiations, establishing the game of the scene, and playing scenes at the top of their intelligence. Students will also learn the pattern game (a standard opening in the Harold) and learn how to create second beats of scenes. This class gives students the skills needed to be successful in Improv 3 where students learn the Harold structure.
Students will have two class performances. One in the middle of the class and one at the conclusion of the class. We believe in learning through doing- so students are able to apply the notes from the first performance to the second which will improve their performance skills.
Students are required to see at least two improv shows at the Sacramento Comedy Spot before the conclusion of the class.
