The Sacramento Comedy Spot is Sacramento’s only comedy club featuring improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy shows weekly.  There is no minimum age to see shows at the Comedy Spot.  We also have the most comprehensive Comedy School in Northern California.  We have shows 6 nights a week and classes that start monthly.

What types of shows can I see at the Comedy Spot?
The Sacramento Comedy Spot features a wide variety of comedic styles, including improv and sketch comedy formats made famous in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, as well as stand-up comedy . Our stage is home to many local celebrity and amateur performers, and often hosts national headlining acts. Please check out Calendar for upcoming shows and events.

Do you have groups sales?
For sure! We love large groups! We have worked with local restaurants and bars to offer you discounts when you bring groups of 12 or more to the Comedy Spot. Email us with your group information.

Do you accept credit cards?
We do accept all major credit cards (Except American Express) but we prefer that you pay with cash when purchasing tickets at the door. You can buy tickets in advance for most shows online. Our weekend shows fill up fast, and cash purchases make your wait time shorter. [Full Schedule]

Can I rent the Sacramento Comedy Spot for an event?
We do rent the Comedy Spot during the day for meetings and other events. Please email us at: laugh@saccomedyspot.com if you are interested in renting the Comedy Spot.

What shows do you have at the Comedy Spot?

How old do I have to be to see a show at the Comedy Spot?
We allow all ages to see our shows but please keep in mind that our shows should be considered PG13 or R rated.

Where do I park?
Metered street parking (FREE after 6pm) is available in front of, and all around the Sacramento Comedy Spot. There is also a parking garage open to the public on the weekends on 20th Street between K and L Streets.

Do you serve food or alcohol?
WE SERVE BEER, small snacks, soda, water, candy and popcorn. The Sacramento Comedy Spot is located inside the MARRS building which host an array of restaurants. Visit our friends before or after shows.  Follow this link for a map and information about all the tenants in the MARRS Building.

How do I get booked to perform?
All of our stand-up comedy bookings are handled by Brian Crall. If you would like to be booked in a show, or have a show you would like to bring to Sacramento please send an email to: laugh@saccomedyspot.com

Do you have an open mic?
We have two open mics weekly.  The show is called  Open Mic Scramble and is every Sunday (7PM) and every Monday (8PM)  If you would like to perform please be at the Comedy Spot 30 minutes before show time.  Each comedian gets 5 minutes and DOES NOT have to pay for the show.  Comedians who bring a paying audience member will get on stage first.

How can I perform in an improv show at the Comedy Spot?
We only cast performers who have taken our improv classes to perform in our improv shows. Once you take our classes you can Audition to be on a Harold Team.

I have taken improv classes, where do I start?
We ask that all new students to the Comedy Spot start with our Improv Level 1 Continuous class. Every improv theater has a different style of play. It is important that you learn our style to be successful in shows at the Comedy Spot.

We offer improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy classes.
