John Alston

On October 27, 2006 John Alston was asked to remove himself from his anchor position at KCRA Channel 3.  That request came from the general manager.  Deep down he knew the decision was right, but he also knew that some day he would return to the world of comedy.  With nowhere else to go, he appeared at The Second City in Los Angeles where he studied for a year and half, finally graduating from the conservatory and taking part in a series of ensemble shows which the Los Angeles Times called “the perfect sanctuary from the bums and roving gangs on Hollywood Boulevard.”  John has appeared in Smokin’ Aces and Law & Order: SVU which his elderly mother considers the “lynchpin” of each show.
