At an early age, Ted Samson aspired to be either a professional gambler or a waiter at Chuck E. Cheese. Alas, neither career panned out, so he is stuck doing improv at The Sacramento Comedy Spot in exchange for whatever popcorn bits he can find under chairs after shows.
Ted is a proud member of Anti-Cooperation League, he is the host and producer of Spotlight, and he dabbles in other shows including In Your Facebook and the odd (by which he means “unusual”) Cage Match. He also enjoys corrupting minds under the guise of teaching improv at The Spot.
Before moving to the Sacramento area in 2007, he studied improv at BATS in San Francisco, where he was one of the organization’s Sunday Players. There, he participated in short form formats such as Theatersports and Micetro.
