When Bernie moved to Sacramento in 2018, she immediately searched for opportunities to pay someone to playfully facilitate her into fostering lifelong friendships. Cue Improv 101 at the Comedy Spot! Now, she frequently marvels at the community and magic that improv can inspire. And the improv that the community and magic can inspire!

In her personal and professional life, she facilitates playful spaces to celebrate diversity and to encourage innovation and community-created joy. She is currently a Board Member for the Empire Arts Collective.
