You love sketch comedy! I love sketch comedy! Where can we do more sketch comedy? Sketch Jam! Sketch Jam is every other month at Sacramento Comedy Spot. Do you have a new sketch that you want to try? Sketch Jam! Do you have a character you would like to present? Sketch Jam! Do you have a funny sketch-prov premise? Sketch Jam! Do you want to produce a sketch you produced a long time ago and want to see it on stage again? Sketch Jam!
Sketch Jam is like an open mic for stand-up comedy – anyone can participate! This show is an opportunity for Sacramento area performers to put their ideas on stage and get feedback and guidance. You’ll see everything from characters to sketch-prov to brand-new sketches, or ones produced a long time ago that people just want to see it on stage again. Check out the ideas our performers have been brewing up!
Unlike a stand-up open mic, we are going to help you with your sketches before the performance date. A coach or coaches will be reaching out to you with notes and maybe even a rehearsal date. We want to jumpstart the future of sketch at the Comedy Spot, coach participants in our style, and pass on valuable lessons we have learned. If you are not interested in feedback and guidance, please do not submit.
