SKETCH CLASSES
Sketch comedy is scripted comedy, just like you see on TV shows like Saturday Night Live and Key & Peele. It all begins with the development of characters and the writing of scripts.

All core classes meet at the Comedy Spot Training Center, at 915 T Street in Sacramento.

SKETCH DEEP DIVE (Advanced)

Duration: 8 weeks
Prerequisite: Comedy Spot’s Improv 101, Comedy Spot’s Sketch Writing, script sample, and instructor approval
Coming soon! Learn to create and perform in a sketch comedy show like Saturday Night Live, Key & Peele, or Chapelle’s Show. In this 8-week class, students will expand their writing skills, create characters, create sketches inspired by improv scenes, and create sketch-prov bits. Students will also learn best practices and helpful tips for producing sketch comedy shows from Brian Crall, writer, director, actor, and producer of sketch comedy and variety shows for over 20 years. Students will perform the sketches and characters they have created as part of a final sketch comedy show.
