WSB Submissions - Sacramento Comedy Spot

Thank you for submitting your pitches! We will be in touch with everyone soon.

Monday, May 11 – Submissions Open
Sunday, June 28 (extended!) – Submissions Close
Friday, July 10 – Lineup Announced

Shows can be anything! You can submit shows that are sketch, characters, game shows, stand-up based, panel shows, and, of course, improv.
Producers must be regular performers at the Comedy Spot to submit an idea.
You may submit more than one idea, but we may only book one of them.
Shows are 25 minutes, unless informed otherwise.
Don’t submit a show that already performs regularly. Create something new, or reinvent your show in some way.
You may submit show ideas that were booked in previous WSB events, but priority will be given to new concepts.
One-off, one-time ideas (with no intention of future development) are 100% welcome! While we have had some shows appear again after the festival, most do not. If you just have a one-night-only creative itch to scratch, this is your space.
Musical comedy groups must be acoustic (no full bands) and must incorporate comedy.
Keep tech to a minimum (intro/outro music and lights up and down). The tech attendant cannot perform lines or characters in your show.
Due to the high number of participating shows, rehearsal space will not be available through the Comedy Spot.
WSB is a fundraising event for the Comedy Spot. As such, we do not pay performers for this event. Performers will be given access to all shows throughout the weekend, and a hospitality area with refreshments and food will be provided in the green room.
