GET HERE
The Comedy Spot theater, featuring all of our hilarious improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy shows, is located at 1050 20th Street, Suite 130, between J and K Streets, inside the epicenter of all things wonderful about Midtown Sacramento- The MARRS Building.
The Comedy Spot Training Center, where we hold most of our classes is located at 915 T Street, between 9th and 10th Streets.
PARKING
You must pay for street parking up till 10PM. Scan the QR codes on the street signs or go to a parking kiosk for payment information. Bonfare Market at 20th and H offers $5 parking for 24 hours, please park away from the front door and then pay for parking inside. (Take a pic of your license plate so you don’t have to run back outside.) On the weekends, there is also paid parking across from the Comedy Spot Theater. You can access that parking by driving into the alley where you will find an attendant. Be sure to pay the attendant before leaving your car. Midtown is usually very safe, but it is a busy area of Sacramento so please be aware of your surroundings.
EAT & DRINK
The Comedy Spot has a beer bar with an extensive list of fantastic beers! We also offer non-alcoholic options and snacks. Remember, at the Comedy Spot, we will NEVER require you to buy two items like most traditional comedy clubs. Who wants $20 french fries anyway?
The Comedy Spot does not serve food, but luckily, we are surrounded by a TON of great places to eat and drink before and after shows!
We don’t serve wine, but our next door neighbor Teneral Cellars does! The Comedy Spot also shares the MARRS Building with great restaurants, including Omakase Por Favor, LowBrau, Azul Mexican Food and Tequila Bar, and Kin Thai Street Eatery, which was recently mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Our after-show hangout is usually Tank House BBQ & Bar located across J Street, and if you need some late-night pizza, hit up Marilyn’s Pizza Slice, also on J Street, just a half block away. Grab a bite before or after your shows, or you can bring food with you into the Comedy Spot. Just remember that we have theater seating so, we don’t have any tables; keep your food mobile.

SHOWS – PRO TIPS:
On Friday and Saturday nights, doors open 15 minutes prior to each performance, and we try to start the shows on time. So please, come early, grab a drink, pick out your favorite seats, and hang out until the show starts! And remember, you never pay fees online or when you purchase tickets at the door. Get your tickets in advance, so you can fly through the box office line! If you don’t have your confirmation email, we can look you up by your name. The Comedy Spot accepts cash, cards, phone payments, and first born children. Give yourself plenty of time to park on the weekends — refer to our Parking section above for more information.
CLASSES – PRO TIPS:
With few exceptions, all comedy school courses meet at the Comedy Spot Training Center, located at 915 T Street, Sacramento 95811. Please refer to your confirmation email to confirm the location of your class. Some students bring water bottles, notebooks, and pens but they are not required. Our two main improv classrooms have drinks and snacks!
