When a mean kid in elementary school said to Melissa, “Your name backwards starts with ass,” she was stunned and embarrassed. So at 11, she decided she would watch The Office on repeat until she was witty and always had clever comebacks. Fourteen years and 3 full rewatches later, Melissa still doesn’t have a comeback to her name backwards starts with ass, but she did gain an undying love for comedy and improv that has taken her through high school, college, her team at the Magnet Theater in NYC, and now at the Sac Comedy Spot. So take that, mean kid.
